The Flare Sleeve Project

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would definitely give these sleeves a 10/10, thumbs up, and/or praise hands.
I was personally shocked when I saw this top and fell in love with it, because we all know this really isn't "my style".
I'm not even mad that it doesn't come in a darker color scheme. The pattern is subtle and the colors look good on me (if I say so myself), plus - I mean - THE SLEEVES, THE FRINGE, THE DEEP V are super cool!
I could definitely be an extra in an early-era Erykah Badu music video.
I've heard some hearsay about how "fantastic" Mother denim jeans are, and they have a clever slogan - "Mother Loves You"(5 points to their branding manager for this).
I thought these hi-rise, cuff jeans were going to be my favorite pair of jeans ever!!
....In reality they were just meh.
To me, they are not flattering. The look is really cool, but I'm not a huge fan of jeans that make my goods look like a three day old pancake. Especially if I'm paying $200+ (which is what their denim usually costs) I want everything to look amazing, not average.
But...maybe they'e called mother jeans because they're for moms who are trying hide all their post-baby junk.
Who knows....
Just so you know, Video by India Arie was playing in the back of my head while wearing this.

    1. Thank you! I'm so glad you like it :)

  2. I love that you paired a straight-leg jean with this rather than a flare! Let those sleeves shine!!

  3. hahaha, girl you cracked me up. Your goods are looking good if I may say so myself from the shots here, but perhaps, you're aiming for something tight-fitting? Love the post, Khira and I'll be back for more coz you're so funny! :D x
